The Geographic Information Services Unit is responsible for maintaining the Town's Geographic Information System (GIS) and creating maps & graphic products for multiple Town Departments. GIS is a computer system designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, manage and present all types of spatial (geographical) data. GIS started in Manchester in 1999 and has grown ever since.

GIS DATA DOWNLOAD

As of September 14, 2021, as approved by the Town of Manchester Board of Directors the GIS Unit will no longer charge for GIS data. The GIS data will be available to the public for free download in three formats: ESRI file geodatabase, ESRI shapefile and DXF. The GIS data files are broken into one hundred fifty-nine 2000' x 3000' tiles corresponding to the Assessor's Department tax maps. GIS data files are available for download at this website:
